Our Story
While watching my father, age 75, struggle with the daily friction of completing online tasks, I realized how digital literacy can transform everyday life. From banks requiring multiple visits for statements to scams affecting vulnerable seniors, these experiences inspired Vijayam Foundation to create hands-on, friendly learning spaces where seniors can learn, practice, and thrive online.
What We Do
- Host Digital Clinics and workshops that teach seniors how to use online services (banking, shopping, email, video calls) safely.
- Educate on recognizing scams, verifying identities, and protecting personal data.
- Introduce AI basics and practical tools to help with daily tasks.
- Pair seniors with patient Tech Buddies (volunteer mentors) for ongoing support.
- Provide easy, printable resources and family-friendly guidance to stay connected.
Who We Serve
We serve senior citizens and older adults who want to navigate the online world safely, as well as caregivers and family members seeking reliable digital literacy resources. We’re especially focused on reducing digital isolation and fraud risk for those who are less comfortable with technology.
